Evolution

I thought that I would post my thoughts on a few things apart from the subject of music. Yeah Yeah I know that I have not released anything for a while and Yeah, yeah I have been busy with music etc.
Evolution and Charles Darwin. Evolution is a theory therefore it has not been proved, this is the nature of a theory. If it had been proved then it would be the law of evolution, the same as we have the law of gravity. In 1859 Darwin published his origin of species which in succinct terms states that 'survival of the fittest'. Mr Darwin developed this in this theory or natural selection in his book 'On the origin of species'. Darwin himself did rush out the publication of this so as not to get pipped at the post by one of his fellow naturalists. This did him a lot of favors in the respect of getting buried near Sir Issac Newton in Westminster Abbey, funny for a person who referred to himself as an agnostic. He seems to have started well as good old Wikipedia says
"He attended a Church of England school, then at Cambridge studied Anglican theology to become a clergyman.
Though Darwin wrote of religion as a tribal survival strategy, he still believed that God was the ultimate lawgiver. His belief dwindled, and his grief at the death of his daughter Annie in 1851 made him more certain in his scepticism. He continued to help the local church with parish work, but on Sundays would go for a walk while his family attended church. He now thought it better to look at pain and suffering as the result of general laws rather than direct intervention by God.When asked about his religious views, he wrote that he had never been an atheist in the sense of denying the existence of a God, and that generally “an Agnostic would be the more correct description of my state of mind.”
Now that we have got the I must say upsetting and sad background to Mr Darwin out of the way. I turn my attention to evolution!
Evolution is a theory, even though there are an awful lot of scientists who treat it like a law. Now just because a large number of people say that a chicken is a dog it still does not change the fact that we are actually looking at a chicken. What I mean is that is it is still a theory and a very riddled with holes theory.
It flies directly in contradiction to the second LAW (notice law not theory) of thermo dynamics which is as follows.
"The second law of thermodynamics is an expression of the universal law of increasing entropy, stating that the entropy of an isolated system which is not in equilibrium will tend to increase over time, approaching a maximum value at equilibrium."
This is usually paraphrased as "there is nothing more sure as death and taxes". What this means is that the universe, you, I and the everything is slowly decaying and falling apart. Some of us are noticing this happening at a faster rate than others (joke).
Evolution is effectively stating that everything is getting better and that we are all evolving towards higher and higher lifeforms. This was a prevalent view in Darwin's time as the industrial revolution and all the things that came with it would never end. The Victorians thought that it would just get better for ever. We have since found that this was really the starting point for global warming etc. (I might do another posting on this) but as we have seen we may have cleverer gadgets these days but we are wreaking the world a truly impressive rate.
The Bible states that life in this world does not get better and better, it will in fact get worse and worse. This ties in with the second law of thermodynamics and flies in direct contradiction to Evolution.

Evolution also states that from single celled organisms complex and wonderful creatures such as you and I came into being. Evolutionists give conveniently long amounts of time for the accidents of evolution to happen. As we have seen from the 2nd law of thermodynamics, the simple does not develop to the complex but the complex does decay to the simple.
Survival of the fittest states that the fittest animals will survive. basically if you are attracted to a partner who is well formed in the conventions of attraction of your species then you will get together and have another generation of beautiful/strong/well developed babies (what ever your species is looking for).
Evolutionary scientists state that species develop through mutation over periods of time. The above states that you narrow down to the norms and the best for your species. Mutation is any creature is not seen as a worthy category for attraction between animals. We as humans see mutation as not an asset for evolution but it is seen as a curse. Mutation is a divergence from the norm of a particular animal species (yeah you have got it the evolutionists have shot themselves in the foot, it is usually about this time they trot out that it happens over a really long amount of time). Mutation in science/medicine is things like cancer, growths etc. these are not an asset they are life threatening and harmful. Cancers and mutations though do tie in to a natural system breaking down as shown in the Bible and the 2nd Law of thermodynamics.

The Richard Dawkin and David Attenboroughs of this world hold onto their evolutionary belief system which is utterly baseless and then from the lofty viewpoint of academia tell everyone to follow them in their non belief in God.
Sir Fred Hoyle stated that the probability of spontaneous generation (that is life coming into being) 'is about the same as the probability that a tornado sweeping through a junk yard could assemble a Boeing 747 from the contents therein.' Mathematicians tell us that any event with an improbability greater than one chance in 1050 is in the realm of metaphysics -- i.e. a miracle.1
The odds that a free-living, single-celled organism, such as a bacterium, might result by the chance combining of pre-existent building blocks. Harold Morowitz calculated the odds as one chance in 10100,000,000,000. Sir Fred Hoyle calculated the odds of only the proteins of an amoebae arising by chance as one chance in 1040,000.
When you look at those odds the claims made by Dawkin, Darwin and Attenborough are even harder to believe than the biblical account of creation.

Why would Scientists want God out of the picture. Well with God in the picture it is not just a case of studying science there is suddenly a repercussion to our actions and someone to answer to. Scientists are on the whole not willing to square up to the demands laid down by God. The scientists are almost playing that game that small children play that is they close their eyes and ignore you then you must suddenly disappear.

The rather weak claims made by scientists is the bible does not explain how the world came into existence. Or lets say it does not explain it in a way that a scientist would like it to be explained. It is almost like the audience complaining that the magician did not explain how he performed the trick. Scientists are missing the point of the creation story, it is not about how God created the world it is about the relationship that he has with his creation, that is mankind. For God it is almost like an afterthought to describe how he created the world. It is far more believable the way God did it than the way that scientist claim it was done.
God created the world in 6 days (yeah he took a break on the 7th day) see Genesis1 and then in Revelation 21v1 it just says
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
So creating a new heaven and earth is not a big thing as God did it instantaneously in Rev21v1.
The other one that gets a bashing is the flood, in Genesis 7v11 it says the following
'In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.'
Now this means that the flood came from below the ground not from the seas, so were did this water come from? Well the Russians (Kola Superdeep borehole) did the worlds deepest bore hole 1970-1989 which was 7.62miles deep. Work had to stop due to a combination of high pressure salt water and boiling hydrogen. For a full description of how this comes into play on the floor account in the bible see creationscience.com

Just because someone has an academic qualification do not believe everything that they say. Use your intellect, the theory of evolution is much harder to believe than God creation. The problem with Gods creation is that it requires a response to God himself.
I leave you with this, do not let your minds be led astray by those who claim to be learned.
Psalm 14 v 1
Only fools say in their hearts,“There is no God.”They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good!

The Prophet is not dead!

Well as some of you have detected I have been very quiet for the last Hmmm 2 years or so. Do not fear I have not dropped off the face of the earth far from it. i have been working with my boys the Austin Francis Connection or their acoustic hip hop material. They have done I live CD which is available at their gigs which was recorded by your truly and I have also been working on their debut album. We do not get much time to work on that due to their hectic touring schedule and my busy life.

I have also been working on Liz Hallam's material for her debut album which is progressing nicely I am trying to persuade her to perform some at North 08 as she has some awesome material.

I have also been working on my material...yes the Prophet is not dead! It is a logistical nightmare as I at present do not have a band and I am also not working with a singer so I am not sure how I am gonna gig this one, but it is on the whole moving forward. I would say that it piviots around the last album as it were some of the tracks are more chilled than the last album and some are more agressive. the last album was a more vocally directed album and this is going back a bit more to my roots with the material from @ Rest in God but the the sophistication that has been developed over the years. It is a well rounded album, I am also weighing up if it is to be a download only album...hmmm.

I also had a fun experience yesterday trying to overtake a car and the knob on my gear stick came off flew out of my hand and landed in the backseat somewhere. so I am parallel with this car and trying to overtake and all I have is the gearstick stalk. So I grabbed the gearstick stalk and dropped in behind the car I was trying to overtake and then pulled to the side of the road. I did find the gearstick knob but it was weird to suddenly not have a gear knob.
Exciting and a little scarey.

Angry...grr

I am going to have to discuss something of a serious nature, Israel and Lebanon.
It is so frustrating you have Israel pummeling three streaks out of Lebanon and the west seems to be sitting back. It is embarrassing that with George Bush saying that they are 'just defending themselves', I do think that there is a distinct difference between defense and blowing them off the planet!!! It is really embarrassing and also gut wrenchingly infuriating that Tony Blair has gone along puppy dog like and agreed. I do not think that this is helping the perception of Israel, UK or USA.
I do agree that Lebanon has attacked Israel and a country has a right to defend itself, Israel has not been tolerated in the middle east since since it's recreation after the second world war.
I do also think that the Muslim faith has a really hard time with the state of Israel's existence as it was calved out of formerly Muslim countries. That this is not just a land issue this is a spiritual issue and there will never be peace in the middle east as long as Israel is there, as it is a thorn in Islam's side in an area predominately Muslim (I am in no way during this discussion saying we should get rid of Israel). The God of the Jews and Christians (Yahweh) will NEVER be acceptable to the god of the Muslims (Allah) (Just in case you are not sure they are distinctly different).
I think that Israel is using obscene amounts of force to achieve it's ends (which is the eradication of Hezbollah) which it will never achieve because it is only re-enforcing the standpoint of their enemies.

I have done a lot of work with youth in the past and this is how I would paint the picture if we could reduce this entire conflict down to a school playground.
You have Lebanon who is that slightly annoying kid in the class (you know the one, every class has them the one who wants to be liked, tells bad jokes and everyone does not get on with). There is Israel who is the well built kid, has a few friends who tolerate him and think he's OK.
Well you have the fight going on between Lebanon and Israel started because Lebanon punched him (and to be fair he threw the first punch, but as the fight goes on you forget who started it). Lebanon throws the first punch, a good punch and then Israel retaliates with a piece of metal piping...a bit of an escalation and by the time we are finished he will be using knives and tear gas.
The duo of Bush and Blair are on the side lines watching the spectacle, they are not going to break it up as Israel bought the knives and tear gas from them and after all they are mates and mates are meant to stick together. Occasionally they shout out in barely audible voices 'stop' but Israel does not hear them as he is whacking the heck out of Lebanon, and they are cries not ment to be heard anyway only for the audiences benefit.
Then you have in the wider circle the entire middle east standing back, slightly mates with Lebanon so condemning Israel (rightfully for undue force) but also not defending Lebanon but throwing a few weapons in their direction occasionally to aid the escalation of the fight, after all we have to have something to watch in the playground. The group of the middle east stands round the fight and watches and piously gives solutions of how to solve the fight but only if it is a solution that suits them.
Then in the back maybe halfway across the playground is the teacher who has seen the fight and a few pupils have reported it's goings on is sauntering over to see what is going on. This is the United Nations and it can't quite decide if it is an easier life just to ignore it and hope it goes away or to do something about it.

In a school scenario you would bang their heads together (not physically...although it may help in this case) and then give them sever detentions, expell them etc. You'd also tell the crowd to disperse and to stop egging them on. I do appreciate that it is a very complicated situation with a lot of bloodshed on both sides but I do not think anyone is actually helping the situation and trying to defuse it not the Muslims, not the West and not the UN.

My heart goes out to all the people killed in this tragic conflict. The innocent and the guilty on both sides.

Wake up to the word and listen to Israel's comments http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cR4zRbPy2kY. Muslims are allowed to do something called tachia, which is sanctioned by the koran to allow muslims to lie to further the cause of islam.

Hi there
I have been having a laugh recently by going through and having a read of the conspiracy websites that are on the web. I really think some of it is fascinating and some of it is pure fiction. There is a common thread that seems to appear and that that it is that someone else is on the in crowd and knows so stuff that we don't know and we are all fascinated by what we don't know. It is like when you were a kid and someone said, I'm gonna tell you a secret and your ears pricked up cause you were going to know something that someone else didn't.

Well what have I been up to...Well, I have been having a great time in the sunshine. Lovely weather at the moment. I have been having some singing lessons! I am thinking of going out and doing the material live with me singing. It is still just a thought and just in case you think that I am going to do all the nice high girly stuff that Liz did on the album...Forget it. I am going to drop it down so that I can sing it. So don't get your hopes up of seeing me on stage in some tight leather pants, just so I can hit the high notes.
I am also mulling over the idea of doing some singing on some of the stuff that I am working on at the moment.
Been hanging around waiting to go ahead on Edi Johnston's EP for the record label and also perfecting the ancient art if ceramic tiling (tiling a bathroom). I got a ceramic tile splinter right in the end of my finger and it really hurts, still hurts even after I got it out. This actually hurts to even right this and every time my right index finger hits the keyboard it hurts, ouch, ouch. Maybe I should stop then and then it wouldn't hurt.

Nah I am too bloody minded for that. I love summer...I thought I would pop up a lovely photo of me in Cannes, just to make you feel summery....Or not??? This was when we managed to get upgraded to a presidential suite at the noga hilton in Cannes. I always recommend to go for a presidential suite sooooo much nicer. I used to have a flat that was smaller than that place. I think the Mrs spent the entire week in the jacuzzi. I was starting to wonder if I was going to be married to a prune at the end of the week!

I am also looking at a singer as well called Eleanor Coleman. I haven't had much luck with singers so we will see how we go. We are unfortunately not going to be doing Greenbelt this summer, which is a bit of a shame but don't really have a fully rehearsed band. I am working on a track called 'Sound of Nothing' at the moment (no it is not 3.5 minutes of silence) and am probably going to throw that out as a free track on my MySpace and also on the website. You will be free to pass it around and chuck across to your friends.

Mobile Phones

Fun in Florida

What is it with mobile phone companies, they promise you the world...well a motorola SLVR and then when the little chap comes through they completely forget the fact that hey these days people transfer stuff to their mobile phones from the computer, no we can't put an £8 usb cable in the box you'll have to get that yourself. Vodaphone wanted to charge me £35 to get a bluetooth dongle thingy...Now let me think £8 or £35 hmmmm.

Well that's the griping out of the way. Got back from the states last month really nice feeling to wander around in shorts and a t-shirt in florida in February. I went to detroit as well, saw 8 mile as we drove along the freeway but completely hashed up using the camera phone so no piccies. Oh well at least I can say that I have seen it.

Working on remixes at the moment just done one for Jet Circus called 'Man Rules', that is coming out on a dance remix album they are doing. They are a metal band so it is quite nice to do, bit different from most of the stuff you get. I am also cracking on with Shambles stuff, doing a remix of 'Real live MC flavour' in a VP stylie. I just want to recommend that you all go and see shambles at the Acoustic stage at the H3 festival in Milton Keynes, last band on Sat night - bout 10pm... Saturday 1st July - http://www.h3festival.co.uk/

You'll then realise why he's going out on the label. I also want to thank Jasmine for the vocals on 'can you see the stars' on the Shambles ep, she's 14 and she was awesome...once she stopped giggling ;-b
You know what really rocks!!! rocking chairs.

I would greatfully like to thank Cracker Barrel for their sponsorship and the provision of outdoor seating that rocks

There are the ocassional times that I think that monsters are out to get me then I think nah that would be stupid.....

What have I been up to?

I have had Edi and Hobbit aka Shambles crew (see Shambles Music) up doing recording. Got some great fat beatboxing from Hobbit. Really great beatboxer...and a good bloke too, so we worked late into the night on those tracks. Shambles have got their debut EP coming out...well when I get round to it with the record company. There is all the rubbish of artwork and stuff to do first. Hobbs did some beats on a track that I am working on called Loser (nice happy title). Things in the live arena have ground a bit to a halt as we are still looking for a new singer.
I have been going to the cinema alot, twice last weekend. Saw March of the Penguins, penguins are hardcore! I mean if you think you are a big tough rapper or MC then you spend 3 months in tempereatures that go down to -80 degrees then we'll see who's hardcore. Walk for 75 miles in freezing temperature, sit for 3 months with no food...hat's off to penguins! Also saw Memoirs of a Gaisha, beautiful film...highly recommend. Well that is the film review section over, I'm off to have Spag Bol for tea

Merry Christmas

Well this year has been one of great flux and flow. We are now in the great winter season..with all those dark nights. I am back in the studio writing new material and going to get back to working with Liz in the new year to create some new masterpieces. I've already formed a whole bunch of tracks that we are going to ease out into the live shows and see what you think of them all. I think they are great but heck I am biased as they are my babies, you may think my babies are ugly???
There are also going to be some some new faces popping up in the VP camp. We have new on bass Gabriel Woodger, on drums Dave Sankey and we are in the processes of selecting a new singer at the moment. Yes my bass player is actually called Gabriel...quite appropriate for this time of year. It has been a bit of an up and down year with rapid lineup changes and modifications to the live show, we thank you for bearing with us.
It has also been very exciting this year working on other peoples material such as Edi Johnson's stuff for his Shambles project (no not baby Shambles...I think they are crap!) that is acoustic hip hop. What is that you ask? well it is him (MCing) a guitarist and a beatboxer. It is real old school but fresh and origional. I have also been doing some chilling as I am a bit of a stress head and had a great time in Hong Kong and Beijing the other month. I love travelling, it is just such a buzz sitting in an airport and to think that you are going to leave for another country in an hour or so. Not though very good with the hour or so bit!! Not very good at sitting still!
It is going to be interesting to see where we are this time next year. It is awesome that there is a bit more DnB style stuff creeping into the charts (Pendulum actually getting onto radio 1!!!), there is also some other great stuff out there. really inspiring that Nizlopi with their JCB song success still want to stay being independant which is great. It may make the majors think that maybe they are stifling some forms of music by their conservatism. I also think that the DnB scene should shake itself up a bit and not go for the standard formulas. I want to wish you all an awesome Christmas, go crazy, do something new and exciting, turn the world upside down, spread a little love and the VP crew will see you all in the new year
